Zoe is a self taught and sat in various private art classes and groups with master painter Sam Vokey and the belated Bill St. George. She's been painting in oils on canvas and watercolor for the last 23 years and previously started as a hobby in her teen years and high school. She loves to paint plien air and indulges in the use of color to represent nature, rich in context, color and imagery. The abundance of color carries a strong energy in her impressionist style of painting. Her paintings convey the vibrant energy she holds within her spirit through the use of light, movement, color, peaceful, tranquil mood setting and self expression. Zoe graduated from Umass Boston with Bachelor's degree in English Literature and holds a 6yr graphic design certificate from Mass College of Art where she's also studied art history and painting. Many moons ago, Zoe had been a potrait art model for Master Painters at the school of Museum of fine art, Robert Comier, Robert Douglas Hunter at the Fenway art studios.
Zoe is an all wonder and open-hearted artist!
Her Story
In the past, I didn’t know what to do then…until I started meditating, and playing with paint in my 30’s, and everything changed. Meditation helped me to quiet my mind, find inner peace and sound of mind. Painting brought me a similar experience, and the two mediums fulfilled what my heart was craving: a deep healing, releasing the burden of chase, from which I could experience joy, face challenges from a place of strength and an inner awakening. I painted without knowing, discovering my way to find my style, painting replicas and studies of famous artists such as Edward Hopper, C.Monet, Mary Cassatt, Dega, Child Hassam, through the use ofwatercolor, it allowed my heart to lead me to create otherworks. By 2011, I opened an art studio space, that I could work and sell art. When I launched the storefront and felt challenged by all sorts of emotions, nontheless I showed up, did it any way with love and serenity! My art found a home, and new eyes balls are looking at our artworks and The Hidden Art Gallery has bloomed since. My experience has comfirmed, “Runnig a business requires, creativity, patience and clear channels of communications for setting expectations up-front with people to overcome misunderstandings. All must be under agreement, because the business world is not ultraustic, and that is a reality! “ Today the gallery offers unique paintings of Boston and of Beacon Hill, it brings in succesful artists. Watercolor classes are offered, as well as art talks and historic walking tours of famous people
and artists in Beacon Hill. We creat with purpose to transform our minds and our paintings bring light, joy to any room in your home or office.
